Salisbury Seitan with Golden Gravy and Spinach Mashed Potatoes
Every once in awhile I go and cook almost exclusively from cookbooks for a month or so just to get out of all my regular stand by meals and too use the cookbooks that I spend all our money on. This is the second thing I’ve made in the last few weeks from the Real Food Daily Cookbook. I’ve been wanting to make it for quite some time now and am again, like the cheese below, glad that I finally made it. We all loved it including Reno and it’s something that I would make for a holiday meal if I were ever lucky enough to host one. The real stand out of the dish was the Golden Gravy. It made my kitchen smell like the most wonderful smell ever! I was basically eating it with a spoon out of the pot waiting for everything else to finish cooking. I want to smother everything with this gravy. I know that I will definitely be smothering my Thanksgiving meal with it.

This is one of my families favorite meals. Your gravy looks wonderful. I made this gravy last thanksgiving and the whole family loved it!

I’m partial to kale mashed potatoes myself, but I will definitely have to try this.

This looks excellent. I hardly ever use cookbooks, i always just end up branching off. I am awful at following directions.
